31 March 2010 - kittens now 10 weeks old
The kittens are 10 weeks old this week and are old enough to be shown at the cat shows. This week will be very exciting as we will be going to the Royal Easter Show this Sunday. Two of the kittens will make their debute appearance at the most prestigious show in town. I will do a video update on Sunday at the show so please check this space on the weekend.
23 March 2010 - kittens now 9 weeks old
The kittens are now all grown up and are interacting with the other cats very well. They love to play on the balcony with the others and dart up and down the length of the balcony.

16 March 2010 - kittens now 8 weeks old
So sorry that I have been slack with the updates but i am sure you are happy to see how big the kittens are now. They have all had their first vaccionation today and the vet was very happy with their development. I have also made a video of each kitten so you can see how they are individually.

26 Feb 2010 - kittens now 5 weeks old
This week has been hectic again so here is the update. As you can see all the kittens have grown again and even the little ones now look a lot more substantial. The gate in the bathroom is now removed so they are now running around freely. They are very clever little boys using their litter trays all the time. Kitten weight chart has also been upated.
19 Feb 2010 - kittens now 4 weeks old
Sorry about not posting an update earlier this week but one of the kittens was experiencing tummy upset so I was busy sorting him out and ensuring that the others were not affected. The kittens are now back on track and are running around in the new bathroom set up. They have all started to eat solids to a certain degree so hopefully they will transition into that smoothly in the next few days.
week 4 update
10 Feb 2010 - kittens now 3 weeks old
The kittens are now 3 weeks old and are very active. All of them are climbing out of the kitten box so I have moved them into the higher box. Holly is getting a little bored so it is good timing that the Lotus litter will be going to their new families this week and next week. By week 4 the kittens will be moving into my bedroom so they will start to interact with the other older cats.
I have made a special video of the 2 little kittens being hand fed. This was extremely hard to do on my own as I had to place the camera in a strategic position. I am sorry about the kitten not being in the centre but I tried :) I love the way how their little ears move when they drink. So cute!

29 Jan 2010 - kittens are into their 2nd week
Holly and her kittens are doing great. She has truly settled in being a mum and the kittens are growing up fast. 2 of them already have their eyes completely open and the other 2 are getting there.
They are all now aware of me coming into the room and a few of them would even try to climb over the bed rim to get to me. Very sweet indeed.
At this stage only Mowhawk and Littly (the smallest kitten) have names but I am sure I will work out names for the other 2 very soon.

19 Jan 2010 - 4 kittens born yesterday
Holly delivered her 4 kittens yesterday morning at 8:45am. She is such a good mum and cleaned up herself and all her kittens in record time. Holly has a lovely friendly personality so no doubt these kittens will be very sooky and friendly also.
If you havent seen my other kitten updates you would be quite surprised to see how dark the kittens are. 95% of Bumilla kittens are born dark (well at least the black, brown, blue ones anyway), this is because Burmilla kittens are either shaded or tipped and the colour rests at the tip of each hair shaft. Since a tiny newborn has hardly any hair, all you can see is the tip of the hair shaft at the moment. So as the kitten grows the silver undercoat will start to push out and the dark tips will move outwards giving a whiter appearance. You will be amazed at how much "whiter" these kittens will become in a few weeks time. If you dont believe me have a look at the other kitten updates.
The father of these beautiful kittens is Cosmo from Shantinga Cattery. Cosmo is also the father of Dinky. Cosmo is now desexed so this litter will be very special as it is Cosmo's last litter.
