for Aaralyn Bamboo Jungle (Boo Boo) - Fuji Kitten March 2010
Hi Isa,
Just to update you on little Boo Boo who has been with us for nearly a month now. As you know, we got a Maine Coon kitten, MacGyver, just days before Boo Boo joined us, and within hours they were best mates. The two of them sleep entwined, groom each other, play so well together, and are just happy little souls. Boo Boo was beautifully socialised when he came, he was not afraid of most things in the house, he has readily accepted the other older cats, and is happy for most people to pick him up to have a cuddle, he is so beautiful and so soft it is hard to ever put him down! He loves his RC Kitten biscuits, but he particularly likes the bowl of mixed Maine Coon and Kitten biscuits, I didn't think his little mouth would cope with it, but he loves them. He also likes a range of tinned foods, and waits patiently every night for his raw meat, he knows that when we are about to have our dinner, he will get his plate of raw beef, pork or lamb (he doesn't like mince - that is for babies lol!) and after eating he will collapse for a nice long sleep, so neither he nor MacGyver disturb us during our dinner time. He also loves twice-weekly treats of cheese, kitten milk, natural yoghurt, and loves Greenies and Love Hearts. As for toys, apart from rumbling with MacGyver, he loves rattly mice, ping pong balls, pipe cleaners, kitty cubes, tunnels, and anything with feathers. He is very brave in the bathroom, he will climb up on the end of the bath to watch me, and knows very well where their water bowls are located. Most days he chomps on cat grass, and then sits near a window watching birds fly by. He will also studiously follow a single ant on the outside of the glass with great interest, and a small moth in the garden had him totally intrigued. The funniest thing is when I bring out a feather wand and he grabs it and runs off with his "kill", he will growl at anyone (including MacGyver) if you try to follow him and take it away from him.
Boo Boo is a totally delightful, well-adjusted, happy and healthy little boy, and I thank you for allowing him to join our family.
Lots of love,
Doreen

for Aaralyn Guns N Roses (Harvey) - Holly Kitten Jan 2010
Hi Isabella
Harvey has settled in really, really well – such a calm and collected little soul. He’s eating well, although not a lot. Maybe a tablespoon of Royal Canin biscuits during the day and a few mixed with half a little tin of indulgence of a night. He doesn’t seem super hungry and so I’m assuming this is about right.
As soon as he is sleepy he curls up on the couch with me and falls into a deep sleep, so I have to assume he is contented…The other thing which seems bizarre to me is that he fetches! I’ve got a couple of half size tennis balls for him and when I pitch them down the hall, he bolts after them, bats it around a bit and then picks it up in his teeth and brings it back for me to throw again! I took some pics because the guys at work didn’t believe me…I saw a pic of one of your cats retrieving a toy in his mouth, so fetching obviously isn’t that bizarre for a cat… Anyway, he is sooo adorable.
Thank you so much for the little pack of goodies that came in his sleeping bag. I didn’t even notice it the first night – was much more interested in the kitten! The rosette is lovely, and I adore his show name – Aaralyn Guns and Roses! Is perfect. I will update details with the NSWCFA and organise rego with Melbourne City etc.
Anyway just wanted to update you on his progress and let you know he is very happy and very settled in his new home.
All the best Leanne

At first we had two....now we have four!!!
At the start, it was only going to be one!!!
But how could we take one without the other and so it goes.....
Our first Burmilla's were brothers, BONSAI and KENZO. They are now just over 18 months of age and are also brothers to Elizabeth's boys, Monet and Mystique.
BONSAI and KENZO have been attending Queensland Cat Shows since they were about 5 months old and have done remarkably well, so we are very pround parents of the both.
At 3 months of age, KOBE and SUMO became part of our family on 15th February 2010, when they also took their first plane trip up to Queensland. They are the two brother's to Melissa and Glen's little Levi.
They were eager to meet their new big brothers. Bonsai and Kenzo only took about a week to settle in and get to know the newcomers. Today they are all best of friends, especially Bonsai and little Kobe. Bonsai has taken to Kobe like a "mummy" cat. He follows him around the house and grooms him constantly when given the opportunity. Kobe must be the cleanest cat in the house!!
They all have quite different yet endearing qualities and personalities. Here are some of their quirky little ways:
BONSAI - Our dear little Bonsai (well he's all grown up now), always greets Kevin and I at the door when we come home. His favourite night time spot (to start with) is the laundry hamper in our bedroom and then always migrates to our bed and cuddles up into me so closely that his whiskers tickle my face. He is so affectionate, he has started grooming my hair!! I have to put a stop to that as he chooses very inappropriate hours of the morning to do this...and we are shift workers!! He has a wonderful sleeping pattern. He sleeps when we sleep!! He follows me everywhere and I mean everywhere. He doesn't mind having his baths before a show, but is not a big fan of the blowdryer in our cooler months. He is such a loving cat and we just adore those huge eyes of his. I have taught him to sit up for treats on his hind legs and will sit with the command "sit". He is a very smart one and knows what different sounds mean to him and where I keep the cat bowls and what the floor placemats mean I am going to do next (food!!). The rustle of the treat packet will take him out of his deepest cat-nap!!
KENZO - We affectionately call him "His Royal Highness" as he really does think he is better than everyone else!! He loves a big scratch at the base of his tail. He could have us do it for hours...when HE is ready!! Kevin will tap his own leg and Kenzo will run to a place of the living room rug (always the same spot) and have a big rub, rolling around and wanting more, more, more. Kenzo likes to eat a little bit away from the other 3 cats. He is such a slow eater, that the others want to steal his supper because he takes so long!! He knows where to go exactly to eat it too. It makes him happy and that's the most important thing.
The bath before a cat show is not on Kenzo's wish list. He is clever. He knows when it's that time, but he is getting a lot better. He is not into cat treats at all, just his dry biscuits and some wet food is fine with him...so he is definitely not high maintenance in the food department!!
KOBE - Well...let's talk about food here. Kobe wants to know everything going on in the kitchen, followed closely by Bonsai then Sumo and maybe Kenzo if it's fish!! Kobe wants to see everything Kevin and I are eating...nose in the air and sniffing is the closest he will get!!
We are strict on what we feed our boys....if we gave them an inch they would take a mile!! Kobe knows how to get attention...a rub against the legs...with a squeak of a meow which sounds more like "maa"...with the cutest open eye look. I think Bonsai has been teaching him a few tricks!! He is very affectionate and is very very smart. He knows how to get a cuddle and a groom out of Bonsai too. I am teaching Kobe to sit for a treat also, and he picking it up very quickly. Kobe's first Queensland show attracted a lot of attention from judges and spectators. He was so confident in the way he held himself....head up and tail completely vertical...anyone would have thought he was an old hand at it. In fact, he always has his tail up...he is a very happy little boy. He is the smallest in our cat family, but the biggest guts and the most talkative one out of them all. And on baths.....Kobe loves them. He just stands in the tub and purrs away!!
SUMO - Lovingly named "Sumo", as he was the biggest in his litter and had really big paws. He still has big paws but his body is catching up. Kevin thinks he looks like a little teddy bear. He loves playing with his little brother and they always sleep together in their tent at night time in their bedroom. Sumo has the ability to make us think he is being all angelic, when really he is up to mischief. It's almost like he looks up at us and says "but it wasn't me...it was Kobe"!! Sumo becomes fixated on a lamp we have in the living room as it attracts a few tiny little bugs at night time. He can sit there for a good hour staring at them. Anything that moves, Sumo is after. It is absolutely hilarious after the bigger cats have a bath and they have damp tails...Sumo will chase their tails around the house and play with them. I think at times he forgets the tails are connected to cats!! He also hides in my collection of magazines and plays with the pages...see what I mean about mischevious.
You can see they all have their unique little ways, just like us humans do. Our boys are just a joy to come home to. We could never imagine life without them anymore. Every day brings a lot of laughter and such entertainment when they are all playing. They are even so beautiful to watch when they are sleeping, especially when all 4 of them are on their cat tree.
Isabella is a fantastic breeder who gives her cats and kittens so much love and attention and dedication. She is absolutely outstanding and always wants the best for her litters. She has always had an answer for any questions we have had either before we received our boys and even still to this day.
Isabella...you have given us 4 little angels that have changed our lives. Thankyou.
Love Sherin and Kevin

Melissa, Glen, Paris and Levi from Sydney NSW
for Aaralyn Silver Samurai (Levi) - Lotus Kitten Nov 2009
Hello Isabella,
We are having the BEST time with Levi! We knew he was adorable before we brought him home, but now it's fair to say that we are in LOVE! He is the sweetest little man. So warm and affectionate. The only times he has cried has been when we have left him in a room alone -he then proceeds to purr loudly each and every time that we pick him up as he flops in our arms! He is desperately trying to convince Paris to be his new BFF and although things are going well, with some rubbing of noses and no aggression from either of them, Paris remains mostly afraid of our newest addition. Levi gets very excited any time he lays eyes on Paris and eagerly runs up to him hoping that Paris will play with him. He is yet to be successful but hopefully it is only a matter of time. As Paris attempts his retreat from Levi, Levi undeterred, follows after him! He is super friendly and we are being reminded of Paris's approaches to Jake when first we brought him home, only Paris is even more fearful of Levi than Jake ever was of P.
I've attached a couple of pics of Levi taken last night...we cannot believe how quickly and easily he was ready to become a part of our family, and how completely fearless and unshakable he seems to be! He was eager to explore the house as soon as he possibly could and wanted to check out every nook and cranny -despite our misgivings about overwhelming him with too much too soon!
Levi is currently crashed out asleep (after another active play session) in between Glen and I on the lounge whilst Paris is relaxing in our bedroom.
Hello Isa!
I have been thinking of you, and that it is time that I sent you an update of our wonderful boy! We still check the website and watch out for all of the updates!!! -Levi remains obsessed with sitting on and watching the laptop whether we are on your website or any other! Glen thinks he likes to warmth of the keyboard under his belly. How are Lotus, Dinky, and Holly?
I have been meaning to tell you that after Levi's trip to the specialists the day that we arrived back from Fiji the specialist vets sent through the following report to our regular vets at Harbord:
Levi Daley
Most adorable kitten in the world.
Bindi Removal.
Hysterical! We cracked up at his first 'medical report' hehe!
It has taken Paris a LONG time to recover from their stay at the vets whilst we were in Fiji and it has only been in the past couple of weeks that he has finally realised/remembered that Levi is in fact his friend and not his foe and now they play together multiple times each day! It is super cute -Paris will wander over to Levi who immediately rolls on to his back, with his four little paws outstretched towards Paris, who then proceeds to bury his face in Levi's belly whilst Levi wriggles around beneath time, little paws flailing everywhere! Paris will then begin nipping (not to hurt) at each of Levi's paws. This goes on for a little while before some serious wrestling follows! We think that little Levi is pretty gutsy to get involved in such a major game with big boy Paris, but he remains completely fearless!
Levi currently weighs 2.6kgs and his tail alone measures 30cm!! Our only wish is that our baby Levi would remain little! He is growing much too quickly for our liking! We are still yet to see anything other than a happy mood from Levi. He remains calm, happy, playful, gentle, and very affectionate. Wherever I am in the house he is generally right by my side. When we arrive home Levi likes to be picked up and held closely to our faces, look in to our eyes, whilst gently placing one paw on either cheek, then rubbing noses with us! Could he be any more delightful?
Hope you've enjoyed your Monday!
Kind Regards,
Melissa

I am a busy mum of three. We are new parents to the very handsome Ochi (Ot-chi) which means eyes in Croatian. We called him this because of his amazing green eyes which he uses to his advantage – all the time!! He has fit into our crazy house hold very easily and has an amazing nature. With the help of his talented breeder Isabella, he is doing very well in the shows and is keeping me in a steady supply of ribbons!!
He wrestles with our little dog Miley and “bed hops” regularly which leads to arguments between the kids as to who’s bed he loves the most! We are a family that loves all animals and feel very blessed to own one so special :)

Hi Isabella
Hope you had a good weekend! As you can see from the photo below, dexter has settled in as one of the family! He had an unsettled night and kept mark and I up most of Friday night crying for mum and ochi but now he is happy sleeping on marks chest or in his arms! Toby and him are bonding well and spent 3hrs chasing and rumbling with each other this morning. Hopefully toby will lose some weight!
We are absolutely in love with him and can't thank you enough :)
Lou
Hi
I've uploaded some new photos of our baby Dexter plus attached some old ones for those who haven't seen them!
As you can see, he is spoilt rotten, particularly by Daddy. He's a real Daddy's boy. Toby and Dexter get along really well which is fantastic so they keep each other company during the day. I love love having 2 kitties! My mum and dad are sad to hear Mark and I are more than happy with our furry brood for the next 3-5 years or so as they would dearly love a human grandchild rather than a kitty but we love our babies.
Enjoy
Love Lou - the crazy cat woman!

My first encounter with Burmillas was when a friend introduced me to her neighbours cat(a Burmilla) l instantly fell in love with the breed. l searched the net and made a few phone calls and eventually met Isabella who at the time had a litter of kittens but they were all sold. So l put my name on the waiting list for the next litter hoping for 2 girls. However Lotus had 4 boys .After my initial disappointment that girls weren't available and knowing now, was the right time for me to have 2 new kittens in my life (after the death of my last 2 cats over 2 years) l welcomed Monet and Mystique into my life in December 2008 and l couldn't have been happier with "my 2 boys" .
Monet was second born of the litter and takes his role seriously and takes care of his younger brother Mystique (4th born) even to this day Monet stands back and makes sure Mystique has food before he begins his plate of food. Monet is often seen grooming Mysique, its so cute watching him clean Mystiques ears and face and Mystique "lapping it up" as though he was in seventh heaven. Monet is the more outgoing of the two and the most talkative and the first one to jump on my lap or roll over for a tummy rub every minute he can get one. Monet is the one who jumps on me when l'm sound a sleep in case l forget he's there!! how could l? He thinks he owns me.....and he does /or they both do. When in cat shows Monet plays up to the judges and endears himself to all who meet him, in one word he is very adorable.
Mystique is the quieter more intelligent one and always gets what he wants in his own quiet way, he loves his tucker especially fresh prawns, when l put his dinner down and it isn't prawns he waits to see if prawns are coming before he starts eating. He can smell me shelling prawns from one end of the house to the other and he comes running (they are a treat) Mystique loves affection but on his terms and in his own quiet way, he gets his needs met. He loves to sleep on my pillow and play with my hair especially after its been washed or coloured. Mystique although he's the introverted one he is very clever and was the first one to find his way off the new deck onto the sandstone pavers beneath. The first time he did this he just lay on the pavers on his back 'legs in the air waiting for a tummy rub, l could almost hear him saying "l'm Free, l'm Free" l gave him his tummy rub let him have a wander around the backyard and then promptly picked him up and took him inside. He now tries to go onto the deck by reaching up to the door handle hoping to open the door that leads to the deck.
Both Monet and Mystique nurse like babies in my arms and love to sleep there when they get a chance. My 2 boys are inseparable, sleeping together, getting into mischief together or having a rumble on the big bed.
l am so grateful that l met Isabella and that she trusted me enough to have two of her precious angels. l love them to death and couldn't imagine my life without them especially their unconditional love and seeing them wait at the front door for me when l come home. Hopefully one day l hope to increase my Burmilla family, but thats in the future at present l am just so happy with my two gorgeous boys.

Mimi's own page here
Mimi settled into our home seamlessly, including being litter trained to perfection! We live in an apartment, which she is perfectly suited to. Playtime involves runnning from the kitchen, to the bedroom, back to the kitchen, then launching herself at her scratching post. Carrying toys in their mouth must be a Burmilla genetic trait, Mimi carries her mouse to her blanket before lying down for a good roll around and play, and when she was younger she used to fetch her mouse and bring it back to us (another Burmilla genetic trait!).
When we first brought her home we both worked full-time but she was perfectly in sync with us, sleeping during the day and waking up for play time when we got home. Now that I am studying, she is my little study buddy, sitting next to me on my desk or on my lap... she's better than a tutor!
Mimi has the sweetest personality, and fears no one, including visitors she's never met before. She likes to welcome anyone who comes to our front door.
I would definitely recommend Burmillas to anyone who would like an indoor cat who is social and outgoing. We couldn't have received a better cat... thankyou Isa!

for Aaralyn Bluebell Magic (Eloise)- Fuji Kitten May 2008
Hi Isa,
Eloise is doing just great. She has settled in really well, she is great with Simmie and the dogs, the dogs don't faze her at all anymore.
She is incredibly cute, anyone who sees her thinks she is just beautiful. Our Rory (6yrs) has really taken to her and carries her around giving her loads of loving.
Eloise likes to sleep curled up in our dd's doll pram and doesn't mind a bit of a bunny rug and a soft beanie baby to cuddle in with, she doesn't even mind being pushed around the house. Seriously. lol. I have photos of that too. Simmie has been seen grooming her and all in all she is just fine and happy.
Kim :)
Hi Isabella,
How is everything? I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know how Eloise is. She is great, still doesn't know her name but she'd probably ignore it even if she did. lol.
Simmie and Eloise are great friends, they don't sleep together often but do play together. Simmie thinks it is his duty to clean her, so he plops one huge paw over her little body, pins her to the table/floor and licks her. :)
Rory (6 yrs old) is really taken with Eloise, he just loves her to bits. He seems able to score more cuddles out of her than anyone else. She is still a whinger, she whinges or talks (depends on my mood lol) I think Rory is totally oblivious to the whinges and just cuddles away and she resigns herself. :) Eloise is a real purrer she purrs while she eats and is a good eater, she has spurred Simmie on to try different flavours of wet food.
Hope everything is going well for you.
Kim :)

for Aaralyn Princess Kyra (Clementine) - Columbine Kitten May 2008
Hi Isa,
Just wanted to let you know that Princess Kyra (or Clementine as we've decided to call her!) is doing really well! She's such a little cutie, a real minx, and spends hours playing and galloping from couch to beanbag to dining room chairs. She walks around the house very confidently now, miaowing, and is happiest with one of us in sight. She is without fear (except of the washing machine, which makes a "hissing" noise when filling) and climbs all over everything, including us! She is so good and we absolutely adore her. I've been home ill for the past two days which has been good timing as it has enabled me to spend lots of time with her and give her lots of cuddles.
Thanks so much for raising such a beautiful kitten. We are both completely besotted with her!

Sue, Warren, Jenni, Scott, Indie & Millie Rose from Sydney NSW
for Aaralyn Rambling Rose (Millie Rose) - Fuji Kitten Feb 2007
Hi Isabella,
Sorry haven't replied to this email before now.....I'm re-living new parenthood!!! Just want to get the new edition happy, safe, secure etc into our home.
Millie is doing soooo well. We have let her make her own choice to where she wants to sleep at night just because she has settled into our home so well. She tends to gravitate towards our bedroom but has "tried out" Jenni and Scott's bedrooms.
Millie and Indie are doing fine, we have started to let Indie back into the house during the evenings and they have even touch noses to "suss" each other out. He is such the protective type. I realise Millie will take longer to adjust to Indie than the other way round but that's OK, we are patient parents and can understand her anxiousness. We don't want to do anything to jeapodise their relationship....they are going to be together for a long time. Saying that Millie seems to like Indie's toys more than her own...go figure!
You are very lucky to have two of the litter in your family so they can play and keep in touch...I think Millie is missing this particular company..if we go out for a period of time and then come home she is very deliberate to "tell" us she was not happy to be left alone. But then she is all over us with loads of affection and purring. You certainly breed very special kittens!
Hi Isabella
Long time between emails. Just an update on little Millie. She is such a pleasure. She has grown, her coat is changing with the dark tips showing now. She is "helping" me write this email. Indie and Millie are quite an item......she loves to play with his big fluffy tail and he just sits and lets her, we think she thinks he is just a over grown cat. She is so affectionate, she loves to share a cuddle in the morning in bed and at night on our laps at the TV. She is very vocal and if we've been away from home for a long period of time she "tells us off" when we return home.....but after a few cuddles she forgives us!
Hi Isabella
Well we all were thinking about you and Fuji, Simba and Lotus too....because the babies are all now 1 year olds! Hope you celebrated the kids birthdays! We did.
I will nag Warren to get Millie's pics off his computer and email them to you. She is so beautiful and is just a delight to have in our family, thank you for letting us be the special family to take care of her. As I write this email to you she is comfortably sleeping and keeping me company on her third level of her kitty tree! When I close down for the night she will dutifully follow me upstairs, sit on our bed taking in all the rituals I do before getting into my 'kitty bed', turn around once and lay down serenly between Warren and I, purring away the night.
Love to you all, Sue
