Hi guys I am really sorry that it has taken me this long to edit the photos but all the galleries are now finished, please click on the "gallery" link.
13 Aug 2008 - Goodbye Kyra
Goodbye Kyra my sweet. She has gone to her new mum Claire in Melbourne. I will miss her jumping onto my back and shoulder each time I cleaned her litter tray. She is the sweetest soul and I am sure she will love her new family.
Dinky is still with me. He is now with Buttercup as she is so upset that her friends have left her. Mummy Fuji is also there to console the poor girl. Dinky has no idea and was so excited to see Fuji so he can grab a drink!!! I guess boys are boys!
As I said in the other page, I did a professional photo shoot with all the kittens on Friday. Below is a photo of all 5 kittens. I will upload all the other kitten photos shortly.
3 Aug 2008 - kittens 11 weeks and desexed
Kyra went to her desexing operation yesterday and all went well. She is such a sweet little one and didnt complain one bit unlike the Fuji kittens. She rested with the 3 girls till 2am and then was given back to mummy Columbine as feisty little Bluebell was causing trouble. Mummy Fuji was allowed back into the kitten tent and order was quickly restored.
I took some new pictures of the kittens today and they are all very happy. I dont think Kyra even remmebers her ordeal from yesterday:)

Too busy playing ... what desexing operation??
3 July 2008 - kittens 7 weeks tomorrow
Kyra and Dinky went to see Dr Wendy yesterday and they both survived their first vaccination/microchipping ordeal. Poor Dinky was quite embarrassed about the themometer up his bottom and had a bit of a runny bum when he came home. The poor petal is now ok and everything is back to normal again.
Some photos of them playing today.

28 June 2008 - kittens now 6 weeks old
Both Kyra and Dinky are now eating very well and are very active. I brought in a scratching post for them this week so they will learn to scratch the post and not the furniture. I have 3 exciting videos this week and will be taking more photos.

16 June 2008 - Kittens 4 weeks old
I introduced solid food to Kyra a few days ago and she is now eating very well. Dinky started to take some interest yesterday but he is not really "eating" the solids like his sister. Dinky is a lot smaller so I will give him some time.
Both Kyra and Dinky decided that their original bed is no longer "fun" so they have now moved themselves to another play area. Columbine is getting a bit annoyed with Kyra this week as she has started to dart around the place. She is going to have to get used to that as Kyra will only lean to run faster.
Will try and get more photos and videos this week.
10 June 2008 - kittens now 3 weeks almost 4
A few friends came over the long weekend and I brought down all the kittens so they can all socialise with each other. I just updated Fuji's page with photos so please check that page for photos of Princess Kyra and Mr Dinky. Below is a little video of Mr Dinky. He is growing up fast.
I have finally decided on the name for Princess. She is now officially Princess Kyra, my beautiful Indian Sun.

2 June 2008 - Loads of new content
I am sorry guys that I have been slack in updating the site but I have been so so busy so please forgive me. Actually I have taken heaps of photos and videos but I just havent had the time to upload them.

A very cute Princess face indeed
I suggest that you guys subscribe to my Youtube channel so as soon as any new content is added you will be sent an email. http://www.youtube.com/user/aaralynburmillas - this is the link so go there and subscribe.
In the meantime, here are the latest Dinky and Princess videos. I have been scratching my head for a proper name for Princess but I am still tossing. May be you guys can give me some suggestions. I want an Indian princess name and so far I have : Princess Kyra (sun), Princess Kali (energy) and Princess Suri (Suri just means princess but I dont think it is Indian in origin). All the other Indian names that I have found are just so complicated and just sound strange to me.

26 May 2008 - a very nice day today and Mr Dinky is back with mum
I took some videos of Columbine and her kittens today. It is a really nice day today in Sydney.

23 May 2008 - vet visit
I took the kittens to see the vet today just to make sure that they are doing ok. The vet reported that all is well but I should continue supplementing Columbine's kittens just to help her out a little.
The vet also reported that the black shaded kitten is a girl and the chocy is a boy.
I've named Fuji's girls and want to name Columbine's kittens too but am a bit stuck with names at the moment.
23 May 2008 - Columbine's 3 babies
Unfortunately, one of Columbine's black shaded kittens died a few days ago so there are now 2 kittens left in this litter. I visited Columbine and her kittens that morning and I didn't notice anything wrong with the kitten at all. I weighed them and left them but by the afternoon it was gone.
In the wild, cats are unlikely to raise an entire litter, so loss of kittens is quite comment. However, since these are domestic pets, I would have hoped to be able to assist if required but then I guess sometimes we can't really play God and something there is nothing we can do as humans.
Rest in peace little one!
Columbine's little chocolate kitten had a miraculous turn around last week and gained a massive 40 g over a 4 day period. This is huge for a kitten it's size. It is funny watching this little one as it can be quite feisty when it is hungry. It can definitely move a kitten twice its size out of the way when it has to - a real sumo wrestler in the making.
18 May 2008 - Columbine's 3 babies
Columbine gave birth to her kittens on 15 May so she now has 3 beautiful babies - 2 black shaded and 1 chocolate shaded. We are not able to determine their sex at this stage as they are very small still.
The chocolate kitten is a little smaller than the others so I have decided to move one of the larger kittens to Fuji in hope to free up some extra milk for this little one. This little kitten is now doing much better as it now has less competition for food.
If you are interested in seeing Fuji's new adopted kitten (Columbine's baby) I have added some pictures to Fuji's kitten page.
